mediacity was founded in 2002 in Montreal, where advertisers were quick to welcome it. Given their favourable response and the company’s performance, the Montreal network grew fast, allowing mediacity to pick up the pace of its national rollout: Toronto in 2002, Quebec City in 2003, Ottawa in 2003, Calgary in 2003 and Vancouver in 2004.
Concurrent with the network’s geographic growth, the company steadily developed the markets it serves, extending its presence to a growing number of office towers and as a result, multiplying the consumer connection points of its cityclassic and Elevate offerings.
mediacity now reaches 1.6 million Canadians in six major cities through 4,000 ad frames.
